The Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is a traditional festival in China ,and it is the most important festival to the Chinese.In order to celebrate this festival ,Chinese try their best to go together with they all family members wherever they are .In the last month of the lunar calendar ,people go shopping for the Spring Festival ,prepare for all kinds of meats ,and buy new clothes for themselves or their children .When the Spring Festival is coming ,people usually clean their houses ,decorate the windows with the red paper-cuts ,put the Spring Festival couplets on the wall which beside the doors and so on .All family membes get together to wait for the beginning of the new year in the New Year’s Even ,they maybe watch TV, play Majiang ,or just chat together.The children can get the gift money from the adults .People should give New Year’s greetings to their relatives or friends between the beginning of the Spring Festival and the The Lantern Festival.Certainly ,there are some different customs to different places ,take the Guo-Xiao-Nian as an example ,The time of the Xiao-Nian is the early morning of the last day in the lunar calendar in my family  ,but in my grandma’s family ,the time of the Xiao-Nian is the night in the 25th of the lunar calendar .There are a lot of other differences ,I will not list all the differences ,I hope everything goes well in the new year ,good luck to everybody !
